We (my immediate family, and the girlfriends brothers etc) recently spent an excellent week at Rose Cottage which is one of five cottages at Eastkirkland Farm, just outside Wigtown, Scotland…
There is a lovely childrens play ground, tree swings, games barn, with a pool table, table tennis, and a few bicycle of all sizes, including a toddler size one, which my three year spent HOURS riding around the courtyard and i must not forget the pool.
Rose Cottage includes a Decent TV (with SCART) and VCR and has a nice homely layout, compared with one of the mews cottages (which the In-Laws used) which has smaller TV with an external DVD player, but has a shallet style layout, but is still very nice
The owners, who live on site in the main farmhouse, were even kind enough to allow me to erect my portable satelite system? (60cm Sky Dish on a tripod)
An absolute must when you have to keep 4 kids quiet (not all mine) ……..
The Farm is situated Close enough to Wigtown to pop out and get the essentials (BEER and Doughnuts) but far enough away to be very peacefull. The pool house is Kept secure, so that you can relax and let your kids roam safe in the knowledge they should be safe
