Language translation can often be an entertaining process.
One such example is Hydraulic Ram, as used by lots of high end machinery like JCBs etc, can become “water sheep”
Then I get emailed this by a friend, who received if from a Chinese consumer electronics company, trying to draft their warranty terms and conditions

I am translating the warranty to Chinese now, and have a question:

* what is “Cosmetic damage” ?

I think “cosmetic” is some thing that Girls often use for make-up, like, to make themself more beautiful or maintain their skin, do you think I have the right understanding?

So “Cosmetic damage” should be “Damage caused by using cosmetic “, is it right?

Hopefully i will stop laughing by this time next week
