My Weekend??went from one extreme to another

Starting with a 20 mile detour
Followed by a Fun day out
Then Cleaning out the car
and last but not least a NEAR DISASTER

??

Have you ever been??on a motorway to see something break loose from the car in front, forcing you to take URGENT action to avoid a large FLYING Object (KIDS push bike) heading your way !!!

Well I haven’t, I was driving the car that launched the said object, onto the fast lane of the motorway !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

There i am driving along when i here a thud from the roof of my car, Look in the Mirror to see my son’s push bike bouncing around the motorway behind me.
Someone somewhere must like me, the bike missed every car, and not a single car hit another in the mass of sudden braking !!
Some kind soul picked up the bike and placed the bike on the hard shoulder, and I watched in amazement has ALL of the cars drove off.

PHEW !?? That could of been MUCH WORSE !!

Post event review, highlighted the problems with buying second hand bike racks, they should have come with velcro straps which provide further security and prevent this sort of incident !!!!
So i am off to B&Q and TOYS-R-US This evening !!!

BTW The Bike is a write off !

On the way home from a fantastic weekend away in my two week old Honda C-RV, when I hear a cry from the back site “DAAaaD I am going to be SICK !”

Managed to grab a towell and pass to my 4 year old and it all went quiet.. PHEW !!!!

NOT So QUICK,??5 minutes Later, BOOM, there she blows !
PUKE in the back of my new car !!

Went to Diggerland in Cullompton at the weekend, WOW what a place, 50 or so mini JCB diggers, dump trucks and a FEW BIG ones, which you are allowed to drive and control, dig big holes etc etc, and now the fun bit,
They will let anyone over the age of FIVE drive a JCB or dump truck ETC !!!!

Sitting in the back of a HUGE JCB while my 9 year old was driving was surreal !!

FANTASTIC Place and only ??12.50 per person !!!!

Forest Glade Campsite, Wow, what a lovely site, only has 80 touring pitches, it is??very quite, on site shop, games room and pool, no local pub (but hey i have a big fridge).
In the middle of nowhere, just 5 miles from the M5 J28…
OR IS IT !
Read the web site very carefully, and??double check the??adised route if youi have a touring caravan, it is a 20 mile detour… 🙁

I did not check this and having followed the sat nav intructions to turn left,??I am confronted with a HUGE sign which says “unsuitable to Long Vehicle and Caravans” !!!!!!!
So that was reversing manoeuvre number 1 !!, Dont worry, I did??not back out into the main road,??I found a suitable turning to back into !!!
Drive to honiton has advised by the camping book and look for the signs to Dunkeswell…
Hmm, there arnt any !!!
So phone the Camp site and get the full instruction, Dunkeswell Road leaves from the north of Honiton, Foudn it, sorted on our way !
Or so I thought, them missed a small sign to the camp site forcing me to do reversing manoeuvre (TWO ??in one day , i am getting good at this )

Finally arrive at camp, get to pitch and setup, ALL sort,

Well Except for the 30 foot trees to the south east, making the Sky dish a bit fun to setup !!!

I have an over flowing??IN tray, must work hard to cut through the backlog

finally got round to 2.0.3, and now to considure??the wordpress-2.0.3-tuneup
